Llandudno's Nick Beer run raises £1400 for local hospice

Organisers of the recent annual Nick Beer 10K run have presented a generous cheque to St. David's Hospice.

Kay and John Hatton and Carla Green, handed a cheque of £1400 as the proceeds from the race day.

The amount included a generous £900 donation from the North Wales Road Runners Club who put on the event and the proceeds for a fun run.

Held in late July, the 29th Nick Beer Run saw over 500 take part in a run around the Great Orme and in partnership with North Wales Road Runners Club, the hospive organised a 1km Family Fun Run along Llandudno Promenade with over 75 fun runners.

St David’s Conwy Community Fundraiser, Adrian Owen said: “St David’s Hospice would like to thank Kay and John Hatton along with members of the NWRRC for their fantastic support and the efforts they made to organise the event.

“We enjoyed a fantastic summer’s day on Llandudno Promenade in July and would like to thank everyone who took part in the Fun Run, the main 10K Race and who visited us at our Great Orme Goat Merchandise Pop-Up shop on the Promenade.”

In 2022 the Nick Beer 10K Run will be celebrating its 30th Anniversary on Sunday 13th February and St David’s Hospice will again be organising the accompanying Fun Run.
