How does the process of Restorative Justice work?

January 28, 2022 - 2951 views

Earlier today I had the pleasure of talking about the process of Restorative Justice with Alex Challinor who is the Restorative Justice Officer for North Wales Police.

I find out what Restorative Justice is and the benefits for the victim of crime and also the person found guilty of committing of the crime.

In this 30 minute podcast, I discuss how the process works and hear first hand from Kim who was the victim of a traffic incident and Emyr who was subsequently found guilty of committing the offence. How did the process work for them and did it help at all? These were amongst the many questions I asked.

Listen to the podcast by clicking the 'listen podcast' button above.

If you would like to take part in the restorative process or learn more about it please contact PC 1568 Alex Challinor, Community Safety, St Asaph Police Station.
