North Wales Police officers are organising a day dedicated to men's mental health at Glan Clwyd Hospital this week, encouraging people to talk openly and find out what support is available.

Officers from the force's Denbighshire Coastal and Abergele division are joining forces to host the event on Thursday, 5 November, as part of Mental Health Awareness Month.

The event will provide a welcoming and supportive space for men to meet, talk about their experiences and seek advice without fear of judgement.

Paul Williams from Conwy Mind will be attending to offer support, guidance and information about mental health services.

Police officers will also be handing out leaflets and other information to raise awareness of men's mental health and highlight the help available to anyone who may be struggling.

The organisers say the aim is to help break down the stigma surrounding men's mental health and remind people that asking for help is a sign of strength.

They are encouraging men who may be feeling overwhelmed, struggling with their mental health or simply wanting someone to talk to, to come along.

The event will take place at Glan Clwyd Hospital, Bodelwyddan, between 9am and 4pm on Thursday, 5 November.

Organisers say there is no pressure or expectation to share personal experiences, with the emphasis on creating an opportunity for conversation, understanding and support.
