Report places that don't make you feel safe in North Wales

October 04, 2021 - 719 views

North Wales Police are piloting a special scheme to help the public feel safe when visiting certain areas, streets and communities throughout Conwy and along the coast.

As part of their StreetSafe project, a new tool on the Police UK website allows members of the public to anonymously pinpoint places which make them feel unsafe and say why.

This then allows local officers to better respond to patrols or consider actions such as street lighting or CCTV which will help alievate these worries.

A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "Tell us about places in north Wales that you’re concerned about and we’ll work with partners to make the area a safer place to be. It doesn't matter what makes you feel this way, whether it is vandalism, graffiti, street lighting or perhaps a location where you have been verbally abused, please report the location into us."

To do so please visit the website: https://www.police.uk/pu/notices/streetsafe/street-safe/.
