Police appeal after school construction equipment damaged

North Wales Police are currently investigating reports of criminal damage at Ysgol y Creuddyn in Penrhyn Bay.

The incident, which involved damage to contractor machinery on the school grounds, occurred on Tuesday.

Inspector Mat Kelly-Smith said: “Enquiries are ongoing to establish the cause of damage to a laser device used in construction projects.

“This device was being used by contractors who are currently working within the grounds of Ysgol y Creuddyn.

“I’d like to reassure residents who live nearby that this appears to be an isolated incident, and that we’ve received no further reports of similar incidents in the area.

“We’re particularly keen to hear from anyone who may have seen suspicious behaviour near Rhys Evans Close on the day of the incident. Even small details could help our investigation.”
