North Wales Police reports on local crime outcomes

Throughout August, 208 positive outcomes were made in North Wales for offences of violence against women and girls reports North Wales Police today.

A positive outcome includes positive action taken following an arrest. This could include a charge, summons, postal requisition, caution, offences which are taken into consideration (TICs), penalty notices for disorder (PND), drug warnings and community/restorative resolutions.

A total of 109 charges and 63 alternative offence charges were made in North Wales, as well as one youth caution and an alternative offence youth conditional caution were made, two adult cautions, three alternative offence adult cautions and 29 community resolutions.

Of all the positive outcomes, 65% (136 offences) were domestic related.

A total 63 offences (30%) were offences of violence with injury and another 63 incidents were of stalking and harassment.

Just under 10% of the offences were of sexual violence and 19 were of public fear, alarm or distress.
