Tŷ Gobaith, the children's hospice located just outside Conwy, has recently unvelied a reflective new space to help and support bereaved families.

A spokesperson said: "Tranquil gardens are an essential part of our snowflake suites at Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith, providing private and beautiful spaces where families can begin to navigate their grief following the death of their child.

"The garden at Tŷ Gobaith has been completely renovated over the summer and now features a stunning water blade fountain, raised planters, an arch for climbing plants, plus a lit and heated wooden gazebo and furniture to allow year-round use."

Initial concepts and design ideas were put together by the Tŷ Gobaith maintenance team, Jeff, Chris and Dave with help from hospitality team leader, Llinos.

The construction work was carried out by local contractor Marshall Landscapes, and the project was paid for by generous donations from Welsh Water, Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board's winter pressures fund, and in memory of Noel Williams. Marshalls Paving Group donated the beautiful tiled floor.

Tŷ Gobaith's Head of Care, Angharad Davies said of the garden: "This will give our families a tranquil place to come and visit, reflect and remember their loved one.

"The garden offers privacy, whilst the care team is on hand to offer support."
