Now is your chance to join some inspirational people and do something extra special for a local charity.
Hope House Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices are offering their final five free places onto the Conwy Half Marathon on Sunday November 16th.

But what’s more, the fundraising target of £200 per runner will be doubled when donated as part of the hospice’s Quality Moments Matter match funding campaign – so that’s potential to raise a brilliant £400 whilst achieving a personal goal.

Already signed up to run for the hospices, who have a base in Conwy are families whose children attend the hospice, incredible 81 year-old Dennis from Abergele who will be running for the fourth time and teams from EE in Llandudno and the Airbus plant in Broughton.

The popular half marathon takes in the sights of beautiful Conwy Castle along with the challenging and panoramic Great Orme, providing one of the UK’s most scenic races.

Hospice fundraiser Nikki Sullivan, who is supporting their runners, said: “With just a few short weeks to go, don’t miss a chance to enjoy this iconic race and double the impact of your donation to support local children and families with life-threatening conditions.

“Our team of entrants are all inspirational in their own ways, but to have Barry running to support his daughter, Alaw and her friends at the hospice, alongside the legend that is 81 year-old Dennis, is very special indeed.

“Every one of Team Tŷ Gobaith will receive a bespoke running t-shirt to wear with pride on the day. Then after the run you will receive a Conwy Half Marathon T-shirt and medal and the knowledge that you have given a very special gift back to your community.”
