Welsh children's hospice Tŷ Gobaith to receive additional funding of £306,000 from the Welsh Government, alongside existing support of £667,000.
This funding will help provide vital care to more children and families in Wales.
Head of Care at Tŷ Gobaith Angharad Davies, said: "This funding will allow us to reach more children across Wales, providing them and their families with the hospice care and support they so often describe as their lifeline."
Chief Executive Andy Goldsmith, added: "Last week the UK Government’s commitment to continue the former Children’s Hospice Grant in England for a further three years. We hoped this would encourage the Welsh Government to take similar steps toward sustainable funding for children’s hospices in Wales.
“Today’s announcement is a welcome and significant step in that direction. It gives us greater confidence to plan for the future and ensure that every local child, regardless of which side of the border they live, can access the hospice care they need."
