Volunteers from the RNLI in Llandudno were amongst many people marking Remembrance Sunday in North Wales.

The Lifeboat crew joined in Llandudno's annual Remembrance Sunday parade, paying tribute to those who served and sacrificed for the nation.

The parade, which included 20 operational crew members from the lifeboat station, marched alongside representatives from the military, other emergency services, veterans, and community delegates. Together, they made their way through Llandudno’s streets, arriving at the cenotaph for a solemn ceremony.

At the cenotaph, the community gathered for a solemn wreath-laying ceremony. Representing the lifeboat station, Coxswain Graham Heritage placed a wreath in remembrance.

Other members from the station supported the town’s wider ceremony. Capt. Marcus Elliott, the Lifeboat Operations Manager, fired the cannon to mark the two-minute silence at 11 a.m., while Reverend Canon Phillip Barratt, both the lifeboat’s chaplain and a shore crew member, led prayers at the cenotaph, reflecting in memory of the fallen.

The parade then continued past the town hall, concluding at the Royal British Legion.

The participation of Llandudno’s lifeboat crew highlights the station’s deep connection to the community, honouring both the legacy of those who served and the ongoing commitment of those who continue to serve in protecting others.
