Llandudno’s inshore lifeboat was launched to assist authorities on Saturday evening.

Crew member Vicki Tann had her first call since joining in June, showcasing her hard work and training paying off.

At around 9pm, Llandudno’s inshore lifeboat was launched at the request of HM Coastguard to assist North Wales Police and Llandudno Coastguard. The volunteer crew launched promptly and made their way to the location specified by the authorities.

After spending some time at sea supporting the multi-agency response, the crew were stood down and returned safely to station, where the lifeboat was refueled and made ready for service once again.

The launch held particular significance for crew member Vicki, who joined Llandudno RNLI in June this year. Following months of dedication and training, this was Vicki’s first service call afloat since becoming part of the crew.

Senior Station Technician Luke Heritage said, "It’s always special when someone takes part in their first shout. Vicki has worked hard since joining us, and it was great to see her training pay off out on the water. We all remember our first callout, and it’s a moment that stays with you."
