Children's hospice Tŷ Gobaith has proudly announced that their charity partnership with a Welsh building society has been extended.

Along with Wales's other children's hospice Tŷ Hafan, Ty Gobaith have announced their involvement with Principality which began in 2022. Since then, the building society, its staff and members have donated over £250,000 to the two charities, through various fundraising activities.

Principality has marked the extension of the partnership with a £10,000 donation to provide additional help for families currently being supported by the hospices and who are struggling with the cost-of-living crisis, particularly at this time of year.

Tony Smith, Chief Impact and Governance Officer at Principality Building Society, said: “We are delighted to continue our charity partnership with Tŷ Hafan and Hope House and Tŷ Gobaith children’s hospices, who do an amazing job of caring for children and their families at the most difficult of times.

"We know that this has been a particularly challenging year for the charities financially, as they continue to provide their services amidst rising costs. We’re proud to extend our support and hope our latest donation will help to create treasured memories this Christmas.”

Tŷ Gobaith Chief Executive Andy Goldsmith, said: “We are thrilled that Principality have extended our partnership as they have been fantastic supporters of our hospices. The Christmas donation is a very thoughtful and timely gift that will help the families we support to cope with the extra costs and pressures of the festive season.

"We are excited to continue our collaboration with Principality Building Society and thank them for their commitment and kindness.”
