North Wales Police have asked for our community to keep alert for fires being deliberately set alongside public footpaths.
Over the weekend officers recieved reports of fires, that had been intentionally started just off Conwy Old Road in Dwygyfylchi.
"We are aware that groups have been congregating in this area during the evenings and therefore we will be monitoring this area regularly to prevent further incidents happening." said the West Conwy team.
"If you are walking along this path and notice anything suspicious to contact Police immediately on 101."
As the result of much dry gorse in the area following recent warm weather, it is now easier for undergrowth to catch fire and create problems for communities and fire crews in North Wales.
