Conwy Christmas Tree Festival raises £1300 for hospice

December 16, 2021 - 864 views

Over 30 trees were on display at the St David’s Hospice Conwy Christmas Tree Festival this year.

Displayed in the St Mary’s church on Rosehill Street, trees decorated by local businesses, groups, churches and schools, provided visitors to the festival with a creative array of trees to enjoy.

The six-day event, which also included ‘Carols around the Trees’ on the Thursday evening, was kindly sponsored by Daisy Chain Conwy and the Conwy Valley and North West Wales Community Rail Fund. It raised £1300 in total for local palliative care charity.

The Hospice would like to thank everyone who supported the event this year.

Conwy Community Fundraiser, Adrian Owen said:

“Thank you to everyone for making it such a wonderful event, the trees were beautiful. A special thank you goes to Revd. Eryl Parry, Revd. David Parry, Chris Roberts and Lorraine Gorst for their continued support.

“Also thank you to the volunteers from both the Church and the Hospice that helped us with the Festival throughout the week. We look forward to inviting everyone back in 2022!”

This week, the Llandudno Christmas Tree Festival takes place at the St John’s Methodist Church on Mostyn St until Saturday 18th December (10am-4pm).
