Bay pubs and nightspots aspire to be 'best bar none'

Pub, clubs and nightspots across Colwyn Bay and Conwy are reminded that entries for Best Bar None 2019 are closing shortly.

The awards which recognise establishments in the county which excercise the very highest standards and good practise in the licencing industry. Entry forms will accepted until June 21st and recognition is seen as a mark of approval not only by communities but the industry in general.

Last year's ceremony at Golden Sands Holiday Park saw participation from North Wales Police, Conwy Trading Standards & Licensing Officers, Safer Conwy and the establishments themselves.

28 premises applied with 26 being accredited at gold level, 1 silver and 1 bronze. Below is a list of the accredited venues across Conwy County:

  • Llandudno - Town House, The Cross Keys, The Kings Arms, The Irish Bar, Queen Victoria, The Palladium, The Lilly Bar & Grill, The Lilly Restaurant with Rooms, Club 147, The Carlton
  • Conwy - The Blue Bell, Bank of Conwy.
  • Colwyn Bay / Old Colwyn - The Marine Hotel, The Picture House, The Rhos Fynach, Stadiwm Zip World, Parc Eirias.
  • Abergele - The George & Dragon, The DPL Wine Bar & Grill.
  • Kinmel Bay - Golden Sands Holiday Park, Sunnyvale Holiday Complex, The Mayquay, Palins Country Club
  • Towyn - The Long Bar, Lyons Winkups Holiday Park, Lyons Oakfield Holiday Park, The Wendover, Jakes Family Restaurant & Bar, Golden Gate Club.
