Journey Through Time: North Wales 1967! This film was originally a standard 8mm Cine Film Digitised with a Kodak Reels Scanner. In this vibrant cine film from 1967, our adventure kicks off in the stunning landscapes of Snowdonia, where cars pass by! Next up is the charming town of Betws-y-Coed, home to the breathtaking Swallow Falls. The main street is alive with cars parked and passing, all set against a picturesque backdrop. More awe-inspiring views of the Snowdonia mountains follow, with plenty of vehicles parked as their drivers explore on foot. We then catch a glimpse of the Snowden Railway, featuring a classic steam engine pushing a carriage. The scene shifts to the beautiful River Seiont at Caernarfon, where boats are moored alongside. Soon, the majestic Caernarfon Castle appears, a magnificent structure dating back to 1283 and famously hosting the investiture of Prince Charles in 1969. As the camera sweeps around, a Pilot boat appears into view. The River Seiont flowing towards the Menai Strait. The bustling streets around the Castle are filled with cars, and the final frames capture a man inspecting the engine of his sleek Jaguar, flanked by an Austin A40 on his right and a Hillman Minx on his left.
