The Colwyn in Bloom competition for schools is a open competition that any school in the Bay of Colwyn area can enter. This year we had 3 entries from Ysgol St Josephs, Llandrillo yn Rhos and Pen y Bryn.
Cllr Paul Richards and myself judged them on nine criteria among them are colour and the presentation of the flower beds, Watering Collection of rain water to use, wildlife presevation cleanliness and storage of the tools.
They all are judged individually and they can win either Bronze, Silver, Silver Gilt or Gold Awards and there is a overhaul winner who get an award for best school. We were impressed by all three schools and the hard work that as gone into the entry into the competition this year
