Tourism businesses across Denbighshire are being invited to a forum next month looking at some of the issues and opportunities facing the county’s visitor economy.
Denbighshire County Council’s Tourism Forum will take place at The Beaches Hotel in Prestatyn on Wednesday, October 21, from 10am.
The event will bring together tourism businesses, community groups and organisations working in the sector for a morning of presentations, discussion and networking.
Among the speakers will be Sheila Gilmore, Chief Executive of VisitArran and The Arran Trust, who will talk about managing popular visitor destinations.
Fiona Argyle will provide an update on developments and opportunities linked to the Offa’s Dyke Path, while Claire Roberts from the Welsh Revenue Authority will explain the requirements around registration for visitor accommodation.
There will also be an opportunity for local businesses to meet one another, exchange ideas and discuss ways of working together to strengthen Denbighshire’s tourism offer.
Councillor Alan James, Denbighshire County Council's Lead Member for Tourism, said tourism remains an important part of the local economy and described the forum as an opportunity for businesses to hear the latest information and make new connections.
The council is encouraging businesses involved in, or with an interest in, the visitor economy to attend.
