Over 140 tractors from across the country gathered in North Wales to raise funds and awareness of local charities.

Conwy Valley Tractor Club hosted the Welsh National Tractor Road Run (WNTRR) in June which saw tractors of varying ages and sizes coming from far and wide, including Scotland and South Wales.

The tractor enthusiasts started on their 48-mile journey from Dinarth Hall in Rhos on Sea, travelling towards Llandudno and then around the Great Orme. After which they headed down towards the Conwy Valley to Llanddoged for a dinner stop at Garthmyn Farm before heading back towards the coast via Llanelian and Colwyn Bay.

Through collection buckets and raffles, the event raised a fantastic £7,400 which was split equally between their nominated charities St David’s Hospice, Wales Air Ambulance, Ty Gobaith and Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution. St David’s received £1850.

St David’s Hospice Conwy Community Fundraiser Adrian Owen said: “A massive thank you to Gareth and Beryl Lloyd plus the members of the Conwy Valley Tractor Club for organising this national event here in Conwy County.

"It was a huge success with an amazing amount of various tractors taking to the local roads to help raise funds for four well-deserving charities including St David’s Hospice.
