The self isolation period for people in Wales who have Covid will be cut from 10 days to 7 days.

The change has been brought forward to New Year's Eve and the new rules will apply only to carriers who test negative in lateral flow tests on days six and seven of their isolation period.

This brings Wales into line with England, which introduced the changes a week ago and Northern Ireland which come into line also from New Year's Eve.
