Two award-winning North Wales businesses have moved into a new 24,000-square-foot base in St Asaph as part of a major investment and expansion.
Gareth Jones has brought renewable energy company Carbon Zero Renewables and leisure specialist UK Leisure Living together at Caer Delyn Buildings on Glascoed Road.
The new premises are four times the size of the companies’ previous locations in Mochdre and Colwyn Bay, with space for offices, a customer suite, retail facilities and a showroom featuring hot tubs, swim spas and infrared saunas.
UK Leisure Living, which has sold more than 3,000 hot tubs over the past decade, has also expanded into swimming pool installation, offering customers a service covering design, construction, landscaping and aftercare.
Carbon Zero Renewables continues to provide solar panels and battery storage for domestic and commercial customers, helping them cut energy costs and reduce their environmental impact.
Gareth Jones, who has almost 18 years’ experience across the construction, renewable energy and leisure industries, said bringing the businesses together had created new opportunities for growth.
He said St Asaph offered a central location for serving customers across North Wales and the wider UK, as well as the space needed to improve the customer experience and develop both companies.
The businesses also see opportunities to work more closely together, particularly as customers increasingly look for complete solutions for projects such as swimming pools and outdoor leisure spaces, alongside renewable energy installations.
Carbon Zero has worked with organisations including Mostyn Estates, Techniquest in Cardiff and the Waterloo Hotel in Betws-y-Coed, as well as household customers across the region and beyond.
Alongside his business interests, Gareth is a director of the Federation of Master Builders and founded the Supercar Sunday events in Llandudno.
He has named the next stage of the companies’ development “Project Growth”, with further investment and expansion planned at the St Asaph site ahead of 2027.
He said both businesses had continued to invest and diversify through challenging economic conditions and believed the new base would help them build on that progress.
