Time running out for Bay volunteer award nominations

February 16, 2021 - 1225 views

Colwyn Town Council is looking for your help to identify some of our many local heroes, who during the past year, have gone over and above what is usually expected to assist others in our local community.

Each year they invite nominations for its Volunteer of the Year Awards and, this year, would especially like to recognise those who have stepped up to help friends, neighbours, colleagues or strangers in their local community to cope during what has been, for many of us, a very difficult time.

From those who have collected/delivered shopping and prescriptions for the elderly or those that are shielding, to those who have provided food parcels or home cooked food to needy families, to those who have given their time and a friendly ear to people who are isolated in their own homes, or those who have used their daily exercise to help clean-up or green-up their local community – we all know there have been many examples of extraordinary kindness and generosity.

Now is your opportunity to help us to thank them for making the Bay of Colwyn a friendlier and more caring place to live.

Recipients of awards will receive certificates and an invitation to an awards ceremony later in the year when regulations permit and it is safe to do so.

To nominate please download a form from the Town Council's website www.colwyn-tc.gov.uk  or call the office on 01492 532248. Nominations will close on 1st March 2021.
