Venue Cymru is opening within the current Level 2 regulations from this weekend to ensure that our vibrant local theatre can continue to be enjoyed by family audiences.
Sadly with Wales having to go into Covid Alert Level 2 just after Christmas, theatres around the country saw their Pantomime seasons cut short.
The allowed for only 200 people at indoor performances, with all audience members socially distanced. For Venue Cymru, who had in excess of 1000 people booked for some performances of their Pantomime, this new ruling forced their doors to close yet again.
However, from this weekend, the venue will reopen, within these current restrictions for a live performance of the children's favourite Peppa Pig's Best Day Ever.
A Venue spokesperson said “Everyone’s missed out on so much over the course of the pandemic, children especially have missed out on new experiences. We saw an opportunity in which we could still put this show on within the current laws, and we’ve gone for it.
"Our Box Office staff have worked around the clock to carefully space out our ticket holders, and FieryLight, the production company behind Peppa’s show have added extra performances into their Llandudno visit to further allow us to accommodate everyone.
"All ticket holders have been notified that the show is going ahead, and the measures that we have to put in place, such as the restricted capacity, the distancing between parties and the one way systems we have had to implement. Each patron will be contacted by our Box Office with further information in the coming days”

Following last week's announcement by the Welsh Government, and news that Wales will soon return to Alert Level 0, it is expected that Venue Cymru can open again to its full capacity from 28th January.
The theatre explained that without the ability to open at full capacity, some productions are not viable due to the high costs behind opening up.
A return to full capacity will be very welcome news for many theatres across Wales, to keep open like their English counterparts.
