Dave Sharp, originally from Colwyn Bay, is a painter creating high speed art making him a unique and memorable evening of entertainment for all. The talented artist will be coming to Llandudno to wow hospice supporters and help raise funds.

Taking no more than seven minutes per painting, Dave the performance speed painter covers musical icons, sports figures, celebrities and has previously appeared on ‘Britain's Got Talent’ where he received four Yes's from the judges, plus featuring on ‘BBC Breakfast’ and with Phil and Holly on ‘This Morning’.

The art will be created at the Hospice’s evening event and will be auctioned for the highest bidder to go home with a fantastic bespoke painting.

The event is part of the annual St David’s Hospice Clay Pigeon Shoot which takes place on Wednesday 7th July 2021, from 5pm until late, in a luxury marquee in the grounds of Llandudno’s St David’s College.

Evening tickets can be bought separately for £45 (no need to take part in the shoot) and will include a three-course gourmet smokehouse BBQ, with wine and an evening of live entertainment.

All proceeds from the event will be supporting St David’s Hospice, a local charity, caring for local people, delivering specialist care to adult patients with life limiting-illnesses or those in need of end-of-life care and their families.

Dave Sharp Art is headlining the entertainment, speaking on his YouTube channel Dave explains his love of speed art: “It brings everything together that I love; art, music and performing live in front of an audience. I spend a lot of time rehearsing and practicing on the artwork, enabling me to be able to remember it off by heart.

“The event is for a local hospice, and I am super excited to be raising money for them. It would be amazing to see lots of familiar faces, please come along and help to raise lots of money for an amazing cause. Really hope to see you there!”

Hospice Event Co-ordinator Rhian Jacobs said: “We are really excited to welcome Dave Sharp and his amazing painting talents to our evening event this year. We wanted to add something a little different to the evening entertainment. Dave is full of energy and enthusiasm, and I am sure the audience will be captivated by his speed painting.”

The Hospice events team are part of the ‘We’re Good to Go’ scheme and has processes in place to maintain cleanliness and aid social distancing. In addition, the Hospice has also set up a Covid Promise, which will ensure participants will receive a full refund should the event be cancelled or postponed to another date.
