Road surfacing work plans for Old Colwyn in early January

January 04, 2024 - 409 views

Road surfacing work is set to begin next week in Old Colwyn, impacting on drivers and residents from January 8th to January 19th.

The council are planning to resurface part of Coed Coch Road, from the junction with Peulwys Lane to south of the junction with Pen-y-Bryn.

A spokesperson confimed that some disruption was unavoidable.

"Our contractor will do as much work as possible with traffic signals and escort traffic in convoy through the site. But as the road is narrow, we will need to close the road at times to complete this work.

"There will be no parking on affected sections while we do this work. Residents should speak with the traffic management contractor on site to discuss if and when you can get vehicle access. We will maintain pedestrian access at all times.

"Resurfacing is a noisy and dusty process, and we are sorry for the inconvenience this might cause. The new road surface will provide a smoother, quieter ride and will be a long lasting benefit to the community."
