Colwyn Bay based rugby side RGC have wished player Billy McBryde well as news breaks that he has signed for Doncaster Knights.

The fly-half joined RGC in 2018 replacing Jacob Botica in the number 10 jersey, playing over 50 times for the Gogs and has joined English Championship side Doncaster.

RGC’s Josh Leach “It is great to see another player move onto to professional rugby, and a huge amount of credit goes to Billy and the coaches for the work over the past 2 seasons.

Having been with the Scarlets, we have seen Billy grow as a player in his time in North Wales - which included gaining a landmark 50 uninterrupted appearances for RGC,  and culminated on topping the point scoring charts in the 2019/20 Indigo Group Premiership season."

“For RGC it is another name to add to the list from a development point of view, who has progressed to the professional game. Everyone at RGC wishes Billy well on the move, and thank him for the past two years in an RGC shirt.”
