Conwy County Borough Council are looking to work with the community to help forge decisions about planning and development in certain parts of the county.

The local authority would like to include sites in Llanrwst, Llanddulas, Llanfairfechan, Old Colwyn and Llanrhos in the next Local Development Plan. This will form the basis for decisions on future planning applications. Residents and community representatives are invited the local events to discuss each site.

The online event and in-person events will include structured discussions around the community’s views on the site.  These discussions will take place for the full time advertised.

Discussions will include topics like the layout and access to the site, the scale of what is being proposed and matters important to the community.

Please note the events will be facilitated by Planning Aid Wales. To encourage open conversation Conwy Officers will not be in attendance.  Conwy County Borough Council will be running formal public consultation events on the Deposit Replacement LDP next year, dates for these will be promoted on our website.

After the events Planning Aid Wales will write a summary of all feedback and submit this to Conwy County Borough.

Cllr Chris Cater, Conwy’s Cabinet Member with responsibility for the Replacement Local Development Plan (LDP) said: “I’d urge local residents to get involved, find out more and let us know their views on these proposals.”
