This Saturday 9th December, firefighters from across North Wales are holding a rally to save Rhyl and Deeside fire stations.
From 11am until 1pm on Saturday, firefighters will converge at Rhyl Fire Station on Rhyl Coast Road.
It is expected that two fire stations in North Wales, both Rhyl and Deeside, face being closed at night if cuts to the fire service go ahead.
Following months of Fire Brigade Union and community campaigning, North Wales' fire authority dropped two of three proposals for cuts to the fire service.
However, the authority is still considering a serious downgrading of the fire stations at Rhyl and Deeside and the planned action at the weekend is to highlight the strength of feeling against the expected plans.
