Police are appealing for witnesses following a motorcycle pursuit on Anglesey last week.

The incident happened on Wednesday, 19 March, when an officer on an unmarked police motorcycle attempted to stop a green Kawasaki bike being ridden by a man with a female passenger. The pair failed to stop, leading to a pursuit through parts of the island.

The chase took place between 3.44pm and 4pm, travelling along the A4080 into Llanfaelog and continuing towards Rhosneigr.

Officers are now urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident to come forward, particularly motorists who were travelling along the A5 through Bryngwran towards the Treban Crossroads, as well as those on the A4080 between Llanfaelog and Rhosneigr.

PC Philip Owen from the Roads Crime Unit said several drivers saw the pursuit and may hold vital information.

“I am particularly interested to speak to the driver of a green Dacia travelling through Bryngwran towards Treban at around 3.37pm, the driver of a blue Ford Puma leaving Rhosneigr towards Llanfaelog at 3.45pm, and the driver of a Porsche Cayman S,” he said.

He also appealed for anyone with dashcam footage of the motorcycle before or during the pursuit to get in touch.

Anyone with information that could assist the investigation is asked to contact police via their website or by calling 101, quoting reference 26000222882.
