More new cases in North Wales than other parts of the UK

As predicted by medical experts, North Wales is heading towards its peak in COVID-19 according to statistics gathered over the past few weeks.

According to figures out today North Wales has been reporting more new cases than most parts of the country and residents are reminded to excercise the highest level of caution and stay at home unless absolutely neccessary. 

Across Wales there have been 101 new cases with 41 of these in the Betsi Cadwaladr North Wales Health Board area. Out of these there have been 6 new cases in Conwy and 9 in Denbighshire.

There has been an notable increase on Anglesey with 13 new cases, as many as in the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board region.

Total deaths from people testing positive for the virus across Wales currently stands at 1,207.
