Two more North Wales burglaries have happened in the early hours on Wednesday morning including another in the Bay of Colwyn.

Locally, a theft occurred at a house in Colwyn Bay after a resident left the front door open during the night. Recently there have been a number of local cases where people were seen trying doors door handles, presumably with the intention of accessing people's properties.

Chris Livesey from the Community Safety Team at North Wales Police said: "There has been a burglary in Colwyn Bay and one in Denbigh in the early hours of Wednesday morning. On both occasions the front door was left open.

"Please make sure you check that your door is secure. Can you really afford to wake up and have your valuables stolen?"

The news follows a burglary in Old Colwyn on Tuesday.

The incident which happened at a family home on Llanellian Road occurred via a window which was open.

David Williams from North Wales Police said: "Just a gentle reminder about leaving unattended doors and windows open during this warm spell.

"Unfortunately there was a burglary in the Llanelian Road area and whilst the family were in the back garden, someone sneaked in through an open front window."

Anyone who has information relating to any of these incidents should call 101 or Crimestopper anonomously on 0800 555 111.
