A man has been arrested after a police incident on the beach near Colwyn Bay Pier this afternoon.
North Wales Police were called at 2.40pm following reports of an incident on the beach in the vicinity of the pier.
Officers attended the scene and cordoned off part of the beach with police tape while enquiries were carried out. A visible police presence remains in the area as investigations continue.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police said: "We were called at 2.40pm today (Friday) to reports of an incident on the beach in the vicinity of Colwyn Bay Pier.
"Officers attended and one man was subsequently arrested on suspicion of a sexual offence. A police presence remains in the area and our investigation is ongoing."
Police are appealing for anyone with information to come forward.
