Community & Voluntary Support Conwy (CVSC) have announced the launch of Loto Lwcus, an exciting Community Lottery initiative to benefit the residents and local causes within the county of Conwy.
Loto Lwcus, which is translated to mean Lucky Lottery, is an easy and innovative way for local groups to raise funds for projects and support.
Cash prizes of up to £25,000 a week will be available to lucky participants taking part in the lottery draws.
CVSC's aim is to encourage as many local causes to sign up within Conwy in preparation for the tickets going on sale on Tuesday February 23rd 2021. Interested groups, clubs and non profit organisations can sign up at https://www.cvsclotolwcus.co.uk/good-causes.
So far many have already joined in readiness for the ticket sales next month including Nick Kershaw from Colwyn Bowmen who attended the online launch last week.
Nick said; “It was a great and Informative meeting. Thank you, we are always looking for support to make our archery club bigger and better.”
Linda Tavernor from Abergele Community Action Group was another attendee.
“'I registered Abergele Community Action with Loto Lwcus immediately after the launch. It is an amazing opportunity to raise a regular stream of funding and the registration process was so simple too. It will give people an opportunity to donate to local charities as well as being in with a chance to win a prize!”
CVSC's Chief Officer Wendy Jones explained that the loto could be advantageous for many good causes and groups who have struggled to fundraise due to the lockdowns and restrictions.
Wendy said, "I’m delighted that we have been able to launch this amazing fundraising initiative, at a time when fundraising efforts have been thwarted. We are all searching for new, safe and sustainable methods of fundraising. This will be a lifeline for many.
