Residents in Old Colwyn say they are facing lengthy delays in receiving post, with some claiming they are now going weeks without a regular delivery.
Concerns have been raised on local community groups, with residents reporting that mail is arriving sporadically or, in some cases, only once every two or three weeks.
The delays have caused particular concern over important correspondence, including medical appointments, legal documents, bank cards and other official paperwork.
Conwy County Councillor Cheryl Carlisle says parts of Old Colwyn are now particularly badly affected, with some residents receiving post approximately once a fortnight.
Clwyd MS Darren Millar has also contacted Royal Mail after being approached by constituents in Colwyn Bay, Rhos on Sea, Towyn and Kinmel Bay about delayed or missing post.
He says residents rely on Royal Mail for important correspondence including medical appointment letters, test results, bills and official documents, and has called for assurances that action is being taken.
Residents have also been told they can collect mail from the Colwyn Bay sorting office, but concerns have been raised about the practicality of this for elderly and disabled people, carers, people who work during the day and those on low incomes.
Councillor Jo Nuttall has been collecting reports from residents in Rhos on Sea and says affected postcodes have been forwarded to Royal Mail complaints teams.
She has also advised residents who are waiting for post that they can visit their local sorting office with identification to collect mail that is being held there.
Royal Mail has previously said that while some post can be affected by short-term local issues, delays lasting for long periods are "exceptionally unusual".
The reports come amid wider concerns about postal services in parts of Conwy, with residents in several communities continuing to report sporadic deliveries. CCRM CIC operator of Bayside Radio have reported important mail being held for weeks and when eventually delivered, being sent to the incorrect address.
Local representatives are now seeking further information from Royal Mail about the cause of the delays and what is being done to restore a more regular service.
For people waiting for important medical, legal or financial correspondence, residents are being advised to contact the organisation sending the letter if they believe it may have been delayed.
