A 54-year-old man has been charged with a series of serious domestic violence offences following incidents in North Wales.

John Damon Gizzi, of Cwttir Lane, St Asaph, faces charges including grievous bodily harm with intent and an act intended to pervert the course of justice in connection with an incident on April 7th.

He is also charged with attempting to cause grievous bodily harm relating to an incident in July last year, as well as engaging in controlling or coercive behaviour involving the same victim. A further charge of intentional strangulation relates to a separate incident involving a second victim on April 3rd.

Gizzi appeared before Llandudno Magistrates’ Court yesterday, where he was remanded in custody. He is due to appear next at Caernarfon Crown Court on May 11th.

Andrew Gibson, from the Protecting Vulnerable People Unit, said enquiries are ongoing and urged anyone with information to come forward.

He said anyone who may be able to assist the investigation should contact police via live webchat or by calling 101, quoting reference 26000272886. Alternatively, information can be passed anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.

Police say supporting victims and bringing offenders to justice remains a priority.
