Members of the North Wales Business Club are getting set to tackle difficult questions with their business brains next month in aid of St. David's Hospice!

On Thursday September 24th at 6pm, NWBC will host a Virtual Online Quiz and Raffle with Quiz Master Rupert Moon, former international Welsh Rugby Union Player in aid of St David’s Hospice.

Like many other events this year, the annual corporate quiz has been adapted slightly from its usual ‘Test the Team’ night at Venue Cymru.

In line with current COVID-19 guidelines, the event will now take place online, risk free at home. Admission is £10 per person, with the added benefit of a raffle ticket included in the price.

Mel Herman, Chairman of North Wales Business Club shared details of the event.

"You will all be aware that due to Coronavirus this event, which we partner with St David’s Hospice, was postponed from May to September 2020. We have succeeded in putting together an online quiz, courtesy of Worldspan plc.

"The quiz will include seven rounds to suit all participants and our sponsors have agreed to continue with their support for which we are most grateful’’.

Mel Herman continued to express his gratitude to the sponsors of the event.

"Barclays Test the Team group are unable to provide the quiz but they have most generously confirmed they will still match-fund this year’s online event.

"We do sincerely hope to be back to normal next year and trust that, in the meantime, you will support this year’s online quiz and raffle in order that we may raise the much-needed funds to help St David’s Hospice in these difficult times’’.

St David’s Hospice is a local charity providing free end of life care to local people from Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey. Due to the pandemic, it has had to cancel or postpone the majority of its events this year and has to recover a loss of £1million in fundraised income.

If you would like to take part in the quiz, please contact Jean Barlow on Jean@barlowstalyfan.co.uk or 07789348817.

Those of you who may not wish to participate in the quiz can still purchase raffle tickets at £10 each.

The raffle includes a variety of amazing prizes. A full list of prizes and sponsors are to be found on St David’s Hospice’s website: https://stdavidshospice.org.uk/event/virtual-online-quiz-and-raffle

Last year, a record breaking £16,000 was raised. The event saw fifty teams go head to head in the interactive digital quiz, which was put together by Barclays in support of the local Hospice, bringing the North Wales Business community together once again.
