Direct trains from Llandudno to London Euston will become reality from 2021.
As Virgin Trains sue the government for not being able to bid to operate the West Coast service, new operator First Trenitalia say their future plans will provide North Wales with a more environmentally friendly service.
Plans on the line include the introduction a new fleet of trains between Holyhead and Wrexham which it says will reduce CO2 emissions by more than 60%.
The direct line service between Llandudno and London begins from spring 2021.
