A man on Anglesey has been jailed for 26 weeks for carrying a knife in a busy town centre .
Police responded to community reports, tasered the man, and charged him with possessing a knife in public.
The incident occurred during Operation Sceptre, a national initiative against knife crime.
District Inspector Wayne Francis said: “I would like to thank those who reported their concerns about this man.
“We will respond immediately to reports of anyone in possessions of weapons in our town centres and communities.
“Carrying a knife doesn’t protect you - it puts you and those around you at greater risk of harm.
“I urge anyone with information about individuals having knives or other weapons to report this to the police or anonymously via Crimestoppers.”
