North Wales Crusaders have added Jack Holmes to their squad ahead of the 2022 campaign.

Preparations are now gearing up for 2022, with Crusaders set to travel to Barrow Raiders for a pre-season friendly on Sunday, January 23.

Holmes is the latest player to commit to the club, having been with Crusaders since the start of 2020.
The 27-year-old, who has won promotion from League 1 on three separate occasions, can play in a number of different positions when called upon.

After impressing on his debut for the club in the Challenge Cup, Holmes broke his hand and missed the remainder of the 2020 campaign before it was cut short by the pandemic.

He made 10 appearances for North Wales last term, acting as a utility player for Anthony Murray’s side and chipping in with some big displays.

On his new deal, Holmes said: “I’m very pleased and there’s no chance I was going anywhere else.Last year was a great year for the team and, with us keeping a lot of the squad, it puts us in good stead.

“We’ve added to it, with more youth coming in, and I think we’ve got the ability to go one step further.

“I’ve won promotion from League 1 three times and I’d love to make it four, but we know League 1 is a really tough league.

“You’ve got teams from all over the place that can beat each other and those teams that were once near the bottom are now causing some upsets.

“The club’s move to Colwyn Bay has been really good and you could definitely hear the fans out on the pitch last season. It often gave us that extra boost and it shows the club is a really good place to be at the minute.”
