An interactive public event is being held to look at potential improvements to access and transportation at tourism hotspot, Newborough on Anglesey.
Gwynedd and Anglesey Public Service Board is hosting the event to create ideas, find solutions and foster collaboration.
The community workshop, facilitated by development agency Cwmpas, will get local people, businesses, community organisations, and public services working together.
Two sessions, 1pm to 4pm and 5pm to 8pm, will be held on Thursday, March 7 at the Prichard Jones Institute, Newborough, LL61 6SY.

Aled Jones-Griffith, Principal Coleg Meirion-Dwyfor and Coleg Menai, and Chair of the Gwynedd and Anglesey Public Services Board, said:
“We are looking forward to hosting this event which will bring people together to share ideas and solutions for access and transportation issues in and around Newborough.
“We are encouraging members of the community to attend so we can reflect the wide range of views on these issues. There is already a lot of good partnership work happening and working with the community will build on previous successes, bringing people together to achieve even more.”
Gwynedd and Anglesey Public Service Board asked Natural Resources Wales (NRW) and Isle of Anglesey County Council to be involved in this project as part of both organisations’ engagement work within the village and the adjacent NRW-managed Newborough National Nature Reserve and Forest.
Justin Hanson, NRW’s North West Wales Team Leader for People & Places, said: “We are pleased to be involved in this event. This type of forward-looking partnership working within the community is central to our management and planning work at Newborough.
“We are asking residents how transport and access can be enhanced for the community and still work for visitors. We are encouraging people to take the opportunity to join this interactive session to look at the challenges, create ideas and find solutions.
“This type of work helps us manage the site’s relationship with the surrounding community in a collaborative way.
“This will help ensure everyone’s experience is as good as possible whilst respecting, protecting and enhancing the natural environment, the local area, and the interests of people.”
Newborough National Nature Reserve and Forest is a site of international biodiversity significance and home to some of Wales’ most precious dune habitats supporting a range of rare orchids, amphibians, reptiles and invertebrates.
Councillor Llinos Medi, Anglesey Council Leader and Economic Development portfolio holder, added:
“Newborough is a village steeped in Welsh history. The nearby warren, forest and beach also boast important characteristics which enhance both Anglesey’s environment and economy.
“The local community faces a number of challenges during the summer months, in particular, with visitor numbers increasing significantly.
“We look forward to working with NRW and other PSB partners to ensure improvements to access and transportation which will improve the well-being of residents and provide sustainable benefits for the local community.”
