Conwy’s libraries team are working to re-start local library services, and have arranged for drop boxes to be placed at a number of locations for library members to return their books, taken out before Wales went into lockdown.

There will be no fines levied on any of the books returned and the drop boxes will be outside all libraries at 10am including Colwyn Bay on 18,19 and 20th June.

You will also be able to drop off books in other locations across the county.

18 & 19 June: 10am-12noon at Penrhyn Bay, Cerrigydrudion, Kinmel Bay, Llanfairfechan, Penmaenmawr libraries.

18, 19 & 20 June: 10am-12noon at Llandudno, Conwy Culture Centre, Abergele, Llanrwst, Colwyn Bay libraries.

Cllr Dr Mark Baker, Conwy’s Cabinet Member for Arts, Heritage and Culture said, “As an active library user, I’m delighted that we are taking the first steps towards the phased re-opening of Conwy’s library services.

“In the next few weeks, we’ll be providing a call and collect service at all our libraries. To prepare for that, please return your books so we are ready to go.”

More information for the public on how to access the call and collect service will be announced soon.
