Colwyn Bay FC have made a statement following the passing of an influencial club legend.
"We are saddened to learn of the death of former player, trainer and supporter Johnny Carmichael at the age of 77 following a long illness.
"As a player Johnny had an association stretching over a period of 15 years with the club which included captaining the first team. He was later a trainer/physiotherapist."
Johnny also had a spell as player/manager of Rhos United in the 1970s.
A civil servant, Johnny was also a talented all round sportsman, playing cricket for home village Mochdre and also played bowls and golf.
"Colwyn Bay FC wishes to extend their deepest sympathy to Johnny’s family and friends."
