The event that went viral in 2016 is fast approaching for the ninth year running. What do they have in store for us this year?

Organiser Ian Jones started the world famous fancy dress nine years ago due to the self-employed not having a Christmas doo.

Over the years we have seen a variety of fancy dress outfits such as The Queen, Del Boy, Elvis Presley and even the Simpsons.

Although Ian Jones is yet to get started on his outfit he has had the idea for a while and is sure it will not disappoint.

Ian said: “Myself and Alex Webster will be continuing with the top quality outfit ideas. That is all your getting from me. I am remaining tight lipped.”

Along with Ian there will be newbies joining the fancy dress pub crawl and also some of the older males returning.

This year there is even more festive fun as the males sing under the spotlight at Old Colwyn Christmas Markets. At 16:25 onlookers will see a variety of outfits singing Merry Christmas by Slade.

Participants of the pub crawl are always grateful for their supporters and the crowds that watch them reveal their costumes year after year.

Due to the success of the annual event Ian Jones decided to raise money for a good cause. This year the money will again be raised for a charity that Ian and family hold close to their hearts “Cuddles”.

He said: “My youngest lad was born premature and the charity Cuddles support the Special Care Baby Unit in Glan Clwyd Hospital.”

As well as raising money on the day the fancy dress help local landlords in the area and bring the community together.

The event will take place on Saturday 15th December at Old Colwyn Vic Club at 2pm. All is welcome and donations will be greatly appreciated.
