Seasonal events and shows have been shattered by the wave of Covid which has been sweeping through Wales during the past few days.

Today Bayside has learnt that two of Conwy's favourite pantomimes will be cut short as worries grow about the impact on public health and the new Welsh Government restrictions.

Theatr Colwyn and Magic Light Productions will be ceasing their production of Goldilocks and the Three Bears from December 26th to the end of the run in January whilst Llandudno's production of Aladdin will end of Christmas Eve.

Anyone who has booked tickets for either prodiuction will be contacted by the box office team and offered a refund.

Pantomime fans have expressed their disappointment on social media and Magic Light producers Stuart and Libby have said how sorry they are for having to make such a difficult decision.

In a statement put out this morning they said: "We thank everyone from the bottom of our hearts for the support we have received this year for Goldilocks and the Three Bears.

"We are so proud of this production and are so grateful for the time we have been able to perform it to live theatre audiences.

"Thank you to everyone who worked so hard to make it happen. We hope to see you back at Theatr Colwyn in 2022 for our pantomime adventure Robin Hood".
