Police are appealing for witnesses following a serious single-vehicle crash on the A496 near Barmouth.
Emergency services were called to the collision at around 5.09pm on Monday, May 11, after reports that a dark blue VW Passat travelling from Barmouth towards Dolgellau had overturned.
The vehicle is understood to have collided with a wall and an electricity pole before flipping over on the roadside.
Police, paramedics and other emergency crews attended the scene, with the A496 closed for a time while the incident was dealt with and engineers worked to restore the damaged electric pole.
Two people were taken to hospital following the crash. Their current conditions have not been disclosed.
North Wales Police are now urging anyone who may have witnessed the collision, seen the VW Passat prior to the incident, or captured dashcam footage along the route to come forward.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police via the North Wales Police website or by calling 101, quoting reference number O072327.
The A496 is one of the main coastal routes through southern Gwynedd and closures in the area caused disruption for motorists during the evening rush hour.
