A man has been sentenced to life imprisonment following a complex investigation by North Wales Police into offences against children. The identity or location of the victims has not being disclosed.

Daniel Bremner, 35, of Mancot, appeared at Mold Crown Court on Friday, 1 May, where he was sentenced after previously admitting multiple offences.

The investigation began after one of the children made a disclosure to a trusted adult at school. This information was swiftly reported to police, prompting immediate safeguarding action to protect those affected and begin a detailed inquiry.

Specialist officers from North Wales Police’s Protecting Vulnerable People Unit carried out extensive work, including the examination of digital devices, which uncovered further evidence of serious offending over a sustained period.

At court, Bremner was sentenced to life imprisonment and will serve a minimum term before he can be considered for parole. He will remain subject to strict conditions for the rest of his life.

Detective Constable Meinir Jones said: “First and foremost, our thoughts remain with those affected by these offences. We recognise the lasting impact such crimes can have on victims, their families, and the wider community.

“I would like to acknowledge the courage shown in coming forward and speaking out. That initial disclosure was crucial and allowed us to take action quickly to ensure safeguarding measures were put in place.

“This case demonstrates the commitment of North Wales Police to protecting vulnerable people and pursuing those who seek to cause harm. We will continue to work tirelessly with partner agencies across North Wales to safeguard children and bring offenders before the courts.”

This case has had a profound impact on the local community across North Wales, highlighting the importance of vigilance, early reporting, and ongoing support for victims of abuse.
