Conwy Council are actively seeking a new resident for their Porth Eirias complex after the folding of the Colwyn Bay Watersports facility in the Autumn.

The property which is managed by a team based at Coed Pella is looking to fill the gap left by liquidation of the company. Already the site boasts of the award winning Bryn Williams bistro and a soon-to-launched bicycle shop.

In the press release from Conwy, they say they are currently looking for enterprising individuals or businesses seeking an exclusive, indeed unique location to grow or develop their brand/business with a suite of offices/meeting rooms with further options involving a sizeable workshop and storage facility.

The site was occupied for many years by Colwyn Bay Watersports who offered many local children, schools and charities the opportunity to learn sailing.

The very popular not-for-profit company which was supported by many local fundraisers ceased trading for a number of reasons including not being able to gain access to the boating lake in Eirias Park after the council withdrew their support.

The press release goes on to say; "The suite offers a host of possibilities for a range of leisure style enterprises which, depending on the requirements of the client and nature of business, could be eligible for certain incentives and fit out options (certain aspect might require landlord consent and planning permission).

"The adjacent slipway and free customer parking would certainly suit a watersports venture, capitalising on the superb waterside facilities and excellent accessibility".
