A community collection has been launched to help residents affected by a fire involving two neighbouring properties in Old Colwyn.
North Wales Fire and Rescue Service was called to the incident on Peulwys Lane at 12.41pm following reports of a property fire.
Five fire engines and an Aerial Ladder Platform (ALP) were sent to the scene, where firefighters continue to tackle the blaze.
The fire service confirmed that the fire involves two neighbouring homes and that all occupants have been safely accounted for. Members of the public have been urged to stay away from the area.
As the emergency response continued, the local community quickly came together to support those affected. A collection has been organised at Peulwys Community Centre for the resident who lost everything in the fire, as well as for the neighbouring household affected by the blaze.
There has been no confirmation of the cause of the fire. Fire crews and fire officers are expected to remain at the scene until the incident, and subsequent investigations, have been fully dealt with.
