Colwyn Bay FC to receive league trophy this Saturday

Champions Colwyn Bay FC will be presented with the JD Cymru North trophy after Saturday’s derby against Llandudno at the 4 Crosses Construction Arena. 

The Seagulls have scored 100 league goals this season and lost only once during the campaign, which included a 25 match winning run. 

Bay’s title win has also secured promotion to next season’s will take Cymru Premier next season where they will face teams including The New Saints, Connah’s Quay Nomads, Bala Town and Barry Town. 

The local derby against Llandudno is an “all-ticket” match and there will be no cash turnstiles on the day and the club said there had been “huge” interest in the game. 

Over 1,500 fans saw the reverse fixture between the sides at the OPS Wind Arena on the opening weekend of the season last July which ended in a 2-2 draw. 

Llandudno are guaranteed a third place finish and Sean Eardley’s side come into Saturday’s game on the back of a 12-game unbeaten run.
