MS Darren Millar who retained his Clwyd West seat in last week’s Senedd Elections has vowed to do his utmost to ensure that the people of North Wales are treated fairly.

Mr. Millar was returned for a fourth consecutive term last Friday receiving 11,839 votes, an increase in the Welsh Conservative share of the vote and the highest number of votes ever recorded for the Welsh Conservatives in a Senedd election in Clwyd West.

The results were confirmed last Friday afternoon at the count in Eirias Park.

He said: “I'm delighted to have been re-elected for a fourth consecutive term by the people of Clwyd West. It's every bit as exciting to have secured a fourth election victory as it is the first!

“Over the next five years I intend to focus on the issues that matter to my constituents, including fighting for our NHS as we seek to secure improvements at the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board, supporting local businesses to help them create well paid jobs, and working hard to secure a fairer funding for North Wales.

“As always, I will continue to work of all of my constituents no matter where they live and regardless of whether they voted for me or not.”
